HRGG Course is designed to foster young activists with the knowledge and tools necessary to advocate for human rights and the SDGs. The course combine human rights education with a focus on global goals, addresses challenges faced by youth across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.

Course Overview
The course is designed for youth to effectively advocate for human rights and contribute meaningfully to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as well as becoming educated on Artificial Intelligence and its influence over human rights.
Participants will gain a clear understanding of human rights principles and the interconnectedness between human rights and the SDGs, as well as AI.
Through a blend of logical and practical overview for the ongoing issues, this course fosters leadership and teamwork, letting participants to drive impactful change in their communities and beyond. Whether you’re passionate about addressing global challenges or enhancing your ability to create positive social change, this course offers a dynamic platform to learn, connect, and lead. The course is focusing on :
- Setting a clear understanding about the Human rights.
- Insights into the SDG and it's connection to human rights.
- Exploring the connection between human rights and artificial intelligence.
- Working together as a one using smart advocacy strategies to make a real difference.
Program Phases
Batch 2
Human Rights and Global Goals/SDGs
Duration: 10 Weeks
Batch 2 of the HRGG program focuses on the connection between human rights and SDGs, or Sustainability Development Goals, a universal call to action adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015.
This program targets passionate youths aged between 18 to 30 across the world, mainly in the South Asian region.
Batch 2 allows participants gain:
Empowering through guidance: Gain a real understanding of human rights principles and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Global perspectives: Learn from expert facilitators and engage with participants from diverse cultures, opening a global outlook.
Practical advocacy skills: Develop actionable strategies to address human rights challenges and meaningfully contribute to achieve the SDGs.
A broadened network: Connect with like-minded youth, organizations, and experts to walk through this journey.
A certificate of completion: Receive a prestigious certification as a reward for your commitment.

Batch 3
Human Rights and Artificial Intelligence
Duration: 10 Weeks
The Human Rights & Artificial Intelligence (HRAI) Programme is IYAP's flagship regional initiative equipping young leaders to critically engage with the intersection of emerging technology and human rights.
HRAI Batch 03 brings together 100–150 young leaders, students, activists, educators, and practitioners across South Asia and beyond for a 10-week virtual programme combining expert-led learning, policy dialogue, peer collaboration, and youth-led community action. Graduates will join a growing regional alumni network of ethical AI advocates.
Young people represent the largest group of AI users, future innovators, and future policy influencers — yet most lack structured opportunities to critically examine AI through a Human Rights lens. The HRAI Programme was developed to close this gap, combining Human Rights Education, AI Literacy, Social Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC), Youth Leadership Development, and Community Action into one integrated learning journey.

Frequently Asked Questions
Because both human rights and SDGs share one common goal to achieve a world where equality, freedom and happiness is abundant. Where SDGs are bonding in human rights principles is how it's success depends on the protection and promotion of human rights.
For example, SDG 4 (Quality Education) aligns with the right to education, and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) aligns with the right to justice.
- Participants who complete the entire course will receive a "Certified Youth Advocate in Human Rights and Sustainable Development Goals" certificate.
- And who attend specific sessions will receive an e-certificate for each session they attend.
- Be recognized as part of IYAP's alumni.

This is 10 week online course. Usual time period is every Wednesday 7PM to 8:30PM (GMT +5).
